The Bovey River Band; Flute Salad, then the Moretones during the feast, then
The Kestor Boys (of the Kestor String Band)
David Faulkner on the Border Bag Pipe and Whistle together with Hugh Arnold will be calling a few dances

The stalls: Chagfood, Chagfarm, the Moreton allotment association, Jane and Alistair Wimberley Farm, Energy Savers display from the energy fair in the morning and displays for the Moretonhampstead Growing Together projects, where adults and children can leave comments/ideas.
Chrissy Kebbell will make Salad box planting for children and Beth Hamer will do den building and talking about her MAGS funded art project to interested families.

Fun and Art at the Feast for children......28th June, Parish Hall
..........we very pleased to have environmental artist, "guerrilla gardener and boat builder" Beth Hamer at the Feast. She is planning activities for young and old as part of MAGS' new Moretonhmampstead Growing Together projects
Beth was one of the members of the Dartmoor Arts Project. She is also Director of the Okehampton based project GROWING OUR FUTURE
"Growing our Future, founded in 2008, aims to involve people of all ages in finding solutions to the environmental challenges society faces, including food security, pollution and climate change.
Working primarily with college students and pupils of local primary schools, the project encourages learning through experience of sowing seeds, growing plants, harvesting and composting among other activities".

Music at the Feast on the 28th June
The Bovey River Band based around Bovey Tracey, Dartmoor gives a new, vibrant energy to classic Bluegrass and 'Old time' music with it's roots in the traditional songs of America and the British Isles. These are mixed with classic Americana and original material. With powerful vocals backed by rich harmonies, they will take you from fast 'ho down' music to reflective, uplifting songs played with real feeling.
Band members are Alan Walker on Vocals/Dobro/Guitar, Steve Bamford on Vocals/Harmonica and Mandolin, Paul Haynes on Vocals/Guitar, Nigel Parsons on Vocals/Double Bass and Barry Green on Vocals/Banjo/Guitar

Open Day at Steward Community Woodland
The Steward Community Woodland have their Open Day on the 28th June in the afternoon.
This will be a great opportunity to come and learn about SCW low impact structures, renewable energy systems, permaculture gardens, woodland management operations, and of course come and enjoy the beautiful woodland. As well as guided tours, there'll be refreshments and cake round the fire along with music, traditional craft demos, wild medicine, plant stalls, books & info use Facebook got to the SCW events page and book
And of course don't forget our Bring and share Midsummer Feast and the Moretonhampstead Energy Savers Fair. All on the same day!
